As pure as nature
Basil leaves are an aromatic member of the mint family with a deep, sweet, slightly peppery taste. Used to flavor meats, vegetables, fish, or tomato sauces, soups, and salads. These leaves also support liver function, digestion, and diabetes management.
It is added as the last ingredient in many cooking dishes because cooking for too long destroys the flavor. It is prevalent in Italian, Indian, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, and Taiwanese cuisines.
Blend it into sauces, puree it into soups, sprinkle it on pastas and pizza, and add it to a salad.
